Consider the Apple with John Bunker, the apple whisperer

Co-hosted by Island Heritage Trust and Healthy Island Project

A talk by apple expert John Bunker on the art of apple detection with a book signing and apple identification. Followed by a short talk, Lost & Found: The French Origins of Maine Apples, presented by Todd Little-Siebold, professor of history and Latin American studies at College of the Atlantic.

Bring fruit from your funky old apple tree to learn what grows in your backyard. All welcome, no registration.

Know of an old apple tree on the island? The gnarlier, the better! Tell us about it by reaching out to Missy Mial, mial.missy@gmail.com. We’ll be scouting potential heritage trees in advance of John Bunker’s visit.
